I am afraid that it is not the case: the process of formation are also different. Peneplain has fluvial origin(Davis) and pediplain is to be found in arid condition.

That will be wrong, because ITCZ varies across seasons. In Summer, ITCZ is on Tropic of Cancer, but in winter it does not go beyond 5 deg South as ITCZ cannot advance much in the Southern Hemisphere.
Otherwise ITCZ would have been in Tropic of Capricorn,

You must have come across albedo. You just haven’t realised how useful GHGs have been in the evolution of life. Thats all about relief features 😀

Can someone explain me why ITCZ question option (b) is incorrect?

Albedo. A snowy relief causes even more decrease in temperature due to high reflection by albedo. A dark amorphous relief will increase temperature by absorbing more heat.
Take for example the concept of recurring Ice Ages: Once Ice caps start advancing it becomes a part of a long drawn feedback process where increasing ice caps lead to higher albedo which leads to further advance of ice. In one Ice Age, polar caps almost reached the Equator and whole of Earth had become a Snowball Earth back in the Proterozoic Aeon 650 million years ago.
Only the advent of methane emitting microbes taking evolutionary advantage of feeding on the trapped carbon-organic compounds saved Earth and the progression of Life as we know it today.
