    1-Anamalai hills are not part of nilgiri hills as they are the part of western ghats.

    Moreover these 2 are separated from each other by a mountain gap called pal-ghat gap. anyway the answer is correct.
    2- Is correct exactly and other factors contributing to these are
    a. changes in salinity

    b. changes in sunlight penetration
    c. changes in nutrient availability

    Anamalai hills are a part of nilgiris and others are on the east coast.

    2) c
    Croal Bleaching is due to the algae dying out. This can happen because of acidification of ocean water and also due to increase in the global temperature.

    For a region to be considered as Bio-Hotspot, There must be variety of species , exotic species must be endemic to the region and also threat those endamic species.

    4) b
    Afgan is a desert and is not in 15 deg North belt and normally all deserts are on west coast due to cold currents moving in those regions.

    5) – I dont know, I did not understand the question.

    Naga land in on the northern side and in the options there is only one option with Nagaland in the first hence a.

    Rice or paddy requires more water and farmers do not have surface water, change in cropping pattern, impact of green revolution also affects hence all the three reasons are valid.

    Regarding topics, we had plans earlier, but later on we decided to provide questions from as wide range as possible, because UPSC does not have any fix domain. And application of brain is higher when you are not completely sure about answer.
    Otherwise, if someone has read exactly the same topic, then he would not apply brain to deduce answer and it will be memory based. But, we are focusing more on application based questions.

  24. Could you please elaborate… what kind of routine you want?
    Regarding quiz, we have a fixed routine like Monday for polity, Tuesday for economy, wed for Geo and Environment, Thursday for History, Friday for Science and Tech, Sat for CSAT.
