SHe-Box is online complaint Management System for women working in both public and

private organizations to lodge complaints of sexual harassment at workplace.

It is launched to ensure the effective implementation of the Sexual Harassment of Women at

Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act (the SH Act), 2013.

The SHe-Box portal offers the facility of making online complaints of sexual harassment at

workplace to all women employees in the country including government and private employees.

Those who have already filed a written complaint with the concerned Internal Complaint

Committee (ICC) or Local Complaint Committee (LCC) constituted under the SH Act are also

eligible to file their complaint through this portal.

The ‘Paika Bidroha’ (Paika rebellion) of 1817 will find a place in the history books as ‘the First

War of Independence’ from the next academic session

About Paika Rebellion:

Paikas were peasant militia under the Gajapati rulers of Odisha who rendered military service to

the king during times of war. They rebelled against the British rule under the leadership of

Bakshi Jagabandhu Bidyadhara as early as 1817.

They attacked British symbols of power, setting ablaze police stations, administrative offices and

the treasury during their march towards Khurda, from where the British fled.

The British were initially taken aback and then tried to regain lost ground but faced stiff

resistance from the rebelling Paikas. Many a battle ensued with some victories to the rebels, but

the British finally managed to defeat them within three months.

Widespread suppression followed with many killed and imprisoned. Many more were tortured.

Some rebels fought a guerilla war till 1819 but were captured and killed. Baxi Jagabandhu was

finally arrested in 1825 and died in captivity in 1829.

Though the Paika Bidroha enjoys a cult status in Odisha with children growing up with stories of

the brave fight against the British, it has unfortunately received less attention at the national

level than it should have got.

Therapeutic foods are usually made of a mixture of protein, carbohydrate, lipid and vitamins

and minerals. A subset of therapeutic foods, ready-to-use therapeutic foods (RUTFs), are

energy-dense, micronutrient-enriched pastes.

Therapeutic foods are designed and manufactured to ensure that they are ready to eat straight

from the packaging. Those foods resist bacterial contamination and require no cooking Hence

more hygienic.

Properly used, RUTF is safe, cost effective, and has saved hundreds of thousands of children’s

lives in recent years. Severe acute malnutrition is a major killer of children under five,

accounting for approximately 1 million deaths annually. Hence, statement 1 and 2 are correct.

UNICEF supports community-based management of acute malnutrition with ready-to-use

therapeutic foods (RUTF).

The organization is the primary global procurer of RUTF, therapeutic milk and other essential

products for treating severe acute malnutrition, and also provides technical support to

governments and non-governmental organizations on their application and use. Another

notable procurer is Médecins Sans Frontières. Hence statement 3 is incorrect.

Operation All-Out (OAO) is a joint offensive launched by Indian security forces (Indian Army,

CRPF, Jammu and Kashmir Police, BSF and IB) in the later half of 2017 to flush out militants

and terrorists in Kashmir until there is complete peace in the state.

The offensive is against militants from various terrorist organisations including Lashkar-e-

Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Hizbul Mujahideen and Al-Badr.

The operation was initiated with the consent of Ministry for Home Affairs Government of India

following the unrest in 2016 due to the death of Burhan Wani and subsequent militant and

terrorist attacks in the region.

Recently, Jammu & Kashmir Director-General of Police has said the anti-militancy operation

will continue till peace prevails in Kashmir.

“Aajeevika Grameen Express Yojana (AGEY)” is part of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana –

National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM). Hence, option a) is correct.

The Self Help Groups under DAY-NRLM will operate road transport service in backward areas.

This will help to provide safe, affordable and community monitored rural transport services to

connect remote villages with key services and amenities (such as access to markets, education

uranium bank in the city of Oskemen, in eastern Kazakhstan to discourage new nations from

enriching the nuclear fuel. Hence statement 1 is correct.

The Low Enriched Uranium (LEU) Bank will serve as a last-resort mechanism to provide

confidence to countries that they will be able to obtain LEU for the manufacture of fuel for

nuclear power plants in the event of an unforseen, non-commercial disruption to their supplies.

Countries such as Iran have said they need enrichment facilities to ensure a steady supply of fuel

for nuclear power plants, and the idea behind the bank is to make such supply available without

domestic enrichment.

Russia has operated a similar bank since 2010 but the one in Kazakhstan will be the first one

fully owned and operated by the global nuclear watchdog.

By hosting the IAEA LEU bank, Kazakhstan has made another contribution to strengthening the

global non-proliferation regime. Hence statement 3 is not correct.
