Valmiki Tiger Reserve forms the eastern most limit of the Himalayan Terai forests in India, and is the only tiger reserve of Bihar. Situated in the Gangetic Plains bio-geographic zone of the country, the forest has combination of bhabar and terai tracts. Valmiki Tiger Reserve lies in the north-westernmost West Champaran district of Bihar. Name of the district has been derived from two words Champa and Aranya meaning Forest of Champa trees.

Indian School of Business (ISB) has developed a portal called India Data Portal (IDP). The project was funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF). The Portal was launched in 2018.It serves as a one stop open-access portal for journalists, researchers, students, policy makers among others to access interact and visualize information, data and knowledge related to agriculture and financial services.

The Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 and rules framed under the Act in 2011 regulate the receipt and usage of foreign contribution by non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in India. The act aims to prevent use of foreign contribution or foreign hospitality for any activity detrimental to the national interest. It is implemented by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is the principal global intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women. A functional commission of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), it was established by ECOSOC resolution 11(II) of 21 June 1946. The CSW is instrumental in promoting women’s rights, documenting the reality of women’s lives throughout the world, and shaping global standards on gender equality and the empowerment of women.

The Indian Ocean Commission (IOC) is an intergovernmental organization which brings together five member states : the Union of the Comoros, France in respect of La Réunion, Madagascar, Mauritius and the Seychelles. Created by the Port-Louis Declaration in 1982, the IOC was institutionalized in Seychelles in 1984 by the General Cooperation Agreement, better known as the “Victoria Agreement”. The only regional organization in Africa composed exclusively of islands; it defends the specificities of its member states on the continental and international scenes. Benefiting from the active support of a dozen international partners , the IOC embodies regional solidarity through cooperation projects covering a wide range of sectors: preservation of ecosystems, sustainable management of natural resources, maritime security, entrepreneurship, public health , renewable energies or culture. India has joined in March 2020 as an observer of the Indian Ocean Commission — the inter-governmental organisation that coordinates maritime governance in the south-western Indian Ocean — a move that will bolster Delhi’s Indo-Pacific vision.
