About Lapse of the bill

A bill, whether pending in the Lok Sabha or the Rajya Sabha, is subject to lapse or does not lapse under various circumstances as follows:

A bill approved by the Lok Sabha but awaiting consideration in the Rajya SabhaLapses
A bill not passed by both Houses due to disagreement, with a joint sitting notified by the President before the Lok Sabha’s dissolutionDoes not Lapses

A bill passed by the Lok Sabha and pending in the Rajya Sabha on the dissolution of the Lok Sabha.Lapses
