US-Taliban reach Afghanistan truce agreement, says official
A senior U.S. official said on Friday the U.S. and the Taliban have reached a truce agreement that will take effect “very soon” and could lead to withdrawals of American troops from Afghanistan.

Textile policy to be rolled out by mid 2020
Ravi Capoor, Secretary of the Union Ministry of Textiles, has said that the central government is expected to roll out a textile policy by the middle of this year. Mr. Capoor also said that the Ministry plans to develop 10 Mega Textile Parks which will help in scale and spur cost effectiveness.
‘Overzealous interpretation of law poses risk to independent directors’
SEBI Chairman U.K Sinha has said that overzealous interpretation of the law regarding the duties and responsibilities of independent directors will make such directors risk-averse and the companies will suffer in the process.
He said that penalising independent directors for the company’s action about which director has no knowledge would be counterproductive.

Only 2200 reported income of over Rs. 1 crore from profession in FY19
As per the data released by the IT department – Total 5.78 crore individual filed Income Tax Return in 2018-19. Out of which only 2200 professionals disclosed annual income of over Rs. 1 crore and only 8600 individual disclosed income more than Rs. 5 crore.
