Dear friends,
Given the evolving nature of questions asked in Indian Polity in the Prelims examination, we felt that a concise book that delves into concepts that are hitherto missed by conventional sources is very much needed.
This book contains about 150 words with explanations, limited in about 30 pages. In this book we have tried hitting at areas from which the Union Public Service Commission has asked questions as well as is likely to ask questions in the coming years.
This book should be used to get clarity on basic concepts some of which we may not correctly know – and some of which – we do not know that it exists in the first place, unless it is asked in a test, or an exam conducted by the Commission.
We are aware of the thumb rule of studying every subject from a single source. However, we also feel that when we cross read the same topic from a different source. Our existing doubts are often solved. Further, when our knowledge and ideas are reinforced from a secondary reading, we develop further conviction in what we know, and are in a better position to correctly mark a question in the exam.
While we have tried to do justice to every topic, we have also tried to keep it concise. The concepts mentioned in this book, can be creatively used in Mains as well. For example, keywords like the Doctrine of Casus Omissus can be used creatively, to justify why the judiciary should not step into the shoes of the legislature, and so on.
We enjoyed writing this book. We hope you will enjoy reading it and will benefit from it in the days to come.
The eBook is priced at Rs. 99 Rs. 49 for the first 500 students.
