PSL-C42 puts 2 UK satellites into orbit NovaSAR and S1-4 through 44th flight of  PSLV-C42.

It was the first night flight launch of PSLV and the 12th flight of the Core Alone version of the vehicle. Core Alone version: Core Alone is its lightest version without the six strap-on motors. It is used for launching smaller payloads.

Regulator tweaks norms for buyback offers, CRAs 2. SEBI has revised the share buyback mechanism to bring clarity on the requirement to make public announcements.

Share Buyback: It refers to a process  when a company buys its own outstanding shares to reduce the number of shares available on the open market. Companies buy back shares to increase the value of their remaining shares available by reducing the supply or to prevent other shareholders from taking a controlling stake.

Germany rolls out world’s first hydrogen-powered train

Hydrogen trains are equipped with fuel cells that produce electricity through a combination of hydrogen and oxygen and steam and water are released as emissions. It is costlier than polluting diesel trains but are eco-friendly technologies. Excess energy is stored in ion lithium batteries on board the train.
