Explanation – Krivak-class frigates, originally designed by the Soviet Union under Project 1135 Burevestnik, are primarily intended for anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and surface warfare. These ships are equipped with advanced sonar systems, missiles like the SS-N-14 for ASW, and other weaponry to detect and eliminate enemy submarines and large surface ships. They have also been adapted for escort missions and air defence in naval formations.
