- Prime Minister has launched Swachh Shakti 2019 at Kurukshetra, Haryana. Swachh Shakti-2019 is a national event which aims to showcase the leadership role played by rural women in Swachh Bharat Mission. Swacch Bharat Mission a massive mass movement that seeks to achieve Clean and Open Defecation Free (ODF) India by 2019.
- The first Swachh Shakti event was organised in 2017 at Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The second Swachh Shakti event was held in 2018 at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
