{"id":119445,"date":"2021-07-17T16:33:49","date_gmt":"2021-07-17T11:03:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?page_id=119445"},"modified":"2021-07-17T16:33:49","modified_gmt":"2021-07-17T11:03:49","slug":"rajaji-national-park","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/rajaji-national-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Rajaji National Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rajaji National Park is a national park and tiger reserve that encompasses the Shivaliks, near the foothills of the Himalayas.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It was declared as a tiger reserve in 2015 and is the second tiger reserve in the Uttarakhand and 48th Tiger Reserve of India.<\/li>\n<li>The park extends over the Shivalik Range in the northwest to the Rawasan River in the southeast, with the Ganges dividing it into two parts.<\/li>\n<li>Some of the basic features of the Shivalik formations are to be seen in the park and is rightly known as a <strong>veritable storehouse of Shivalik biodiversity<\/strong> and ecosystems.<\/li>\n<li>The western part of the Park consists of the Ramgarh, Kansrao, Motichur, Hardwar, Dholkhand and Chillawali Ranges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rajaji National Park is a national park and tiger reserve that encompasses the Shivaliks, near the foothills of the Himalayas.
