{"id":124064,"date":"2021-08-05T16:24:38","date_gmt":"2021-08-05T10:54:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?page_id=124064"},"modified":"2021-08-06T16:29:47","modified_gmt":"2021-08-06T10:59:47","slug":"section-29-of-the-rte","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/section-29-of-the-rte\/","title":{"rendered":"Section 29 of the RTE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Section 29 of the Right to Education Act talks about the <strong>Curriculum and evaluation procedure.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Section 29 (1)<\/strong>: The curriculum and the evaluation procedure for elementary education shall be laid down by an academic authority to be specified by the appropriate Government, by notification.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Section 29 (2)<\/strong>: The academic authority, while laying down the curriculum and the evaluation procedure under sub-section (1), shall take into consideration the following, namely:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li>conformity with the values enshrined in the Constitution;<\/li>\n<li>all-round development of the child;<\/li>\n<li>building up child&#8217;s knowledge, potentiality and talent;<\/li>\n<li>development of physical and mental abilities to the fullest extent;<\/li>\n<li>learning through activities, discovery and exploration in a child-friendly and child-centred manner;<\/li>\n<li>the medium of instructions shall, as far as practicable, be in child&#8217;s mother tongue;<\/li>\n<li>making the child free of fear, trauma and anxiety and helping the child to express views freely;<\/li>\n<li>comprehensive and continuous evaluation of a child&#8217;s understanding of knowledge and his or her ability to apply the same.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Section 29 of the Right to Education Act talks about the Curriculum and evaluation procedure.
