{"id":130566,"date":"2021-09-01T15:53:14","date_gmt":"2021-09-01T10:23:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?page_id=130566"},"modified":"2021-09-01T15:53:14","modified_gmt":"2021-09-01T10:23:14","slug":"suryamitra-skill-development-programme","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/suryamitra-skill-development-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Suryamitra skill development programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><b>Objective:<\/b>\u00a0To provide skill training to rural youth in handling solar installations<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"left\"><b>Key features<\/b><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>It is Union Government\u2019s skill development program.<\/li>\n<li><b>Ministry\/Department<\/b>\u00a0: Ministry of New and Renewable Energy<\/li>\n<li>Aims to create skilled manpower in commissioning, installation, O&amp;M of solar power plants and equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Its primary objective is to provide entrepreneurship and employability opportunities to rural and urban youth &amp; women.<\/li>\n<li>The scheme is aimed at creating 50,000 trained solar photovoltaic technicians by March 2020.<\/li>\n<li>Special emphasis is given to skill youth from SC\/ST\/OBC categories.<\/li>\n<li>The qualification required to participate in the program is ITI (Electrical &amp; Wireman) \/ Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics &amp; Mechanical).<\/li>\n<li>Higher qualified participants such as B.Tech etc are not eligible for this programme.<\/li>\n<li>The programme is 100% funded by GOI and implemented by National Institute for Solar Energy (NISE) across the country.<\/li>\n<li>In addition, short term training programmes for small hydro, entrepreneurship development, operation &amp; maintenance of solar energy devices and boiler operations in co-generation plants have been organized.<\/li>\n<li>National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) is an autonomous institution of Ministry of New &amp; Renewable Energy (MNRE)).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Objective:\u00a0To provide skill training to rural youth in handling solar installations Key features It is Union Government\u2019s skill development program.
