It was<strong>\u00a0renamed<\/strong>\u00a0as Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) from 14th April, 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Functions: <\/strong>It deals with all matters relating to the sale of Central Government equity through offer for sale or private placement or any other mode in the erstwhile Central Public Sector Undertakings<strong>.\u00a0<\/strong>It also deals with all matters relating to the management of Central Government investments in equity including disinvestment of equity in Central Public Sector Undertakings.<\/p>\n<p>The Four major areas of its work related to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strategic Disinvestment,<\/li>\n<li>Minority Stake Sales,<\/li>\n<li>Asset Monetisation and<\/li>\n<li>Capital Restructuring.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) The\u00a0Department of Disinvestment\u00a0was one of the Departments under the Ministry of Finance.
