{"id":154703,"date":"2021-12-18T21:53:00","date_gmt":"2021-12-18T16:23:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?page_id=154703"},"modified":"2021-12-18T21:53:00","modified_gmt":"2021-12-18T16:23:00","slug":"mega-integrated-textile-region-and-apparel-pm-mitra-parks","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/mega-integrated-textile-region-and-apparel-pm-mitra-parks\/","title":{"rendered":"Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>News<\/strong>&#8211; The government has approved the setting up of 7 PM MITRA(Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) textiles parks, following the \u201cUnion Budget for 2021-22\u2033 commitments, with a total outlay of Rs. 4,445 crores in a period of 5 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About \u201cPM-MITRA\u201d Scheme:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is inspired by the <strong>5F vision<\/strong> of PM \u2013Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign to realize the dream of building an <strong>Aatmanirbhar Bharat<\/strong> by positioning India strongly on the Global textiles map.<\/p>\n<p>It is inline with the<strong> SDG-Goal 9<\/strong>: \u201cBuild resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization and foster innovation\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aim<\/strong>: The scheme aims to create a world-class industrial infrastructure that would attract cutting-edge technology and boost FDI and local investment in the sector.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nodal point<\/strong>&#8211; Ministry of Textiles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sites<\/strong> for the scheme will be selected by a<strong> Challenge Method<\/strong>, based on objective criteria for Greenfield \/ Brownfield sites.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Centre is receiving proposals from states for the ready availability of contiguous and encumbrance-free land parcels of 1,000+ acres along with other textiles related facilities &amp; ecosystems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Supports:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Competitiveness Incentive Support<\/strong> (CIS)\u2013 The government will provide a fund of \u20b9 300 Crore to \u2018investors\u2019 setting up production facilities to incentivize manufacturing units to get established.<\/li>\n<li>For a <strong>Greenfield Park \u2018developer\u2019<\/strong>, the centre will provide 30% of Capital Support from the Project Cost, with a cap of \u20b9 500 Cr.<\/li>\n<li>For a <strong>Brownfield sites \u2018developer<\/strong>\u2019, the centre will provide 30% of Capital Support from the Project Cost, with a cap of \u20b9 200 Cr.<\/li>\n<li>The developer will get a 25-year lease of the park, and this could be extended by another 25 years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Special Purpose Vehicle: <\/strong>PM MITRA park will be developed by a Special Purpose Vehicle which will be owned by the State Government and Government of India in a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Mode.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Master Developer will develop and also maintain the park during the concession period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Infrastructures:<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_154704\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-154704\" style=\"width: 521px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-154704 \" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/PM-MITRA-Scheme.png?resize=521%2C284&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"521\" height=\"284\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/PM-MITRA-Scheme.png?w=768&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/PM-MITRA-Scheme.png?resize=300%2C164&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 521px) 100vw, 521px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-154704\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Image Source: PIB<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Core Infrastructure:<\/strong> Incubation Centre &amp; Plug &amp; Play facility, Developed Factory Sites, Roads, Power, Water and Waste Water system, Common Processing House and other related facilities e.g., Design Centre, Testing Centres etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Support Infrastructure:<\/strong> Workers\u2019 hostels &amp; housing, logistics park, warehousing, medical, training &amp; skill development facilities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News&#8211; The government has approved the setting up of 7 PM MITRA(Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) textiles parks, following the \u201cUnion Budget for 2021-22\u2033 commitments, with a total outlay of Rs. 4,445 crores in a period of 5 years.
