{"id":157476,"date":"2021-12-30T21:17:13","date_gmt":"2021-12-30T15:47:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?page_id=157476"},"modified":"2021-12-30T21:17:53","modified_gmt":"2021-12-30T15:47:53","slug":"islamic-development-bank","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/islamic-development-bank\/","title":{"rendered":"Islamic Development Bank"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>About Islamic Development Bank:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a <strong>multilateral development bank<\/strong> (MDB), working to improve the lives of those they serve, by promoting social and economic development in Member countries and Muslim communities worldwide.<\/li>\n<li>It provides long term<strong> sustainable and ethical financing<\/strong> structures for their project investments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Membership- <\/strong>The basic condition for membership is that the <strong>prospective member country should be<\/strong> <strong>a member of the<\/strong> Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (<strong>OIC<\/strong>).\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>present membership<\/strong> of the Bank consists of <strong>57 countries.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>India is not a member.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Area of operation: The work of the IsDB can be seen around the world, with operations in<strong> four core regions:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Asia and Latin America;<\/li>\n<li>Europe and Central Asia;<\/li>\n<li>Middle East and North African;<\/li>\n<li>Sub-Saharan Africa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>They also provide <strong>support to Muslim communities in non-member countries<\/strong>, including those afflicted by conflict and natural disasters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mission:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work for people to live in dignity and prosperity, and that<strong> nurturing economic growth<\/strong> is the best route out of poverty.<\/li>\n<li>Equip <strong>people to drive their own economic and social progress<\/strong> at scale, putting the infrastructure in place to enable them to fulfil their potential.<\/li>\n<li>Build collaborative <strong>partnerships between communities and nations<\/strong>, across the public and private sectors.<\/li>\n<li>Foster innovative and sustainable solutions to the world\u2019s greatest development challenges, and work towards the UN <strong>Sustainable Development Goals.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About Islamic Development Bank: It is a multilateral development bank (MDB), working to improve the lives of those they serve, by promoting social and economic development in Member countries and Muslim communities worldwide.
