Experts have called this a rare phenomenon in the Aravallis. It was last spotted in 2019 in Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary. Now, this time, it was spotted in Sanjay Van.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Black Eagle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Black eagle is a <strong><b>hunter<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0and not a scavenging bird. It is found in the hills of Eastern Ghats, Western Ghats and the Himalayan foothills.<\/p>\n<p>The species is almost entirely black that can grow up to 81 cm. It has a grey-yellow beak with a black tip and yellow feet.<\/p>\n<p><strong><b>IUCN Status<\/b><\/strong>: Least Concern (LC)<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Asola Bhatti wildlife sanctuary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><b>\u2013<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0The sanctuary is located on the northern terminal of Aravalli Hills (one of the oldest mountain system of the world).<\/p>\n<p><strong><b>\u2013<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0It is at the end of an important wildlife corridor that starts from Sariska National Park in Alwar, Rajasthan and passes through Mewat, Faridabad and Gurugram districts of Haryana.<\/p>\n<p><strong><b>\u2013<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0Historical places around sanctuary are Surajkund (Haryana), Tughlakabad &amp; Adilabad Forests (Delhi).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: Black eagle was spotted in Delhi after three years.
