We’re looking for candidates committed to studying 8–10 hours daily and prepared for the program’s academic intensity.

The ForumIAS Residential Coaching offers an integrated setup—including Accommodation, Library, Classroom, Mentorship block, and Mess—within a single campus to eliminate commute time and distractions from external environments. FRC-6 will be conducted at the Tapasya Campus, located in the Delhi NCR region.

Registrations are now open for the ForumIAS Residential Batch – FRC-6, scheduled to commence on 5th August 2025.

FRC-6 is a Pre-cum-Mains focused program designed for candidates who have made two or more attempts at the Civil Services Examination and are looking for structured preparation and close mentorship to improve their outcomes.

Admission to the program is strictly based on merit through an entrance test and interview process. The batch will run in three structured phases, and the fee is payable in stages as students progress through the program. Please note that students not showing sufficient progress may be filtered out at various stages to ensure that only serious candidates continue, thereby helping them avoid unnecessary financial burden and enabling the Academy to maintain high output standards.

To know more, visit: https://forumias.com/blog/frc6/

FRC-6 Entrance Test Process

Students are encouraged to register for Entrance Test from ForumIAS Event Page: https://academy.forumias.com/events/

Upon completing the Entrance Test registration, students will receive an email within 48 hours containing the question paper as an attachment. Additional instructions and relevant details will be included in the same email.

Selection Process in Entrance Test

Applicants of the FRC-6 Entrance Test will be shortlisted into either Group-1 or Group-2 based on their academic background and preparation level.

Group-1 generally includes those who have attempted the UPSC exam 2–3 times (including Mains), demonstrate basic answer-writing skills with minimal spelling or grammar errors and have a strong academic background. A strong academic record during school, especially with NCERT-based subjects, is also considered.

Candidates who do not fully meet these criteria are placed in Group-2. This classification helps ensure that students receive mentorship and support suited to their individual preparation levels.

Difference in Group-1 and Group-2

The difference between Group-1 and Group-2 lies mainly in the mentorship approach. All students, regardless of their group, are provided the same hostel accommodation, mess facilities, classroom faculty, and mentors. However, Group-1 students, who are generally more prepared, receive a more flexible mentorship plan. They are guided as per need and may have fewer mandatory mentorship sessions.

On the other hand, Group-2 students receive more structured and intensive mentorship. Mentors work closely on their weak areas and monitor their progress more actively. As a result, Group-2 students are called for more frequent and mandatory mentorship sessions. This approach ensures that each student receives the kind of support that best suits their current level of preparation.

What If I Provide False Information in the Entrance Test?

Students are strongly encouraged to appear for the entrance test with honesty, reflecting their true level of preparation and providing accurate academic details. Misrepresenting facts or using unfair means during the test is not only unethical, but it can also harm the student’s own prospects in the long run.

Mentors and faculty members are experienced in identifying a student’s actual capability during the initial phase of the program. If a student has misrepresented their background or performance, they may find it extremely difficult to cope with the rigor of the program or the highly competitive environment of UPSC preparation. In some cases, this has led to students leaving the program midway due to mismatch in expectations and pressure.

It’s also important to note that once the program begins, No Refund is applicable. Hence, we advise students to be sincere and transparent from the start to make the most of the opportunity provided.

Program fee / Schedule of Charges for FRC-6
Click Here to get the list of complete Schedule of Charges for FRC-6 Program.

Phase 0 – Pre-Program Preparation

Before the commencement of the residential program, students are expected to complete the following three key tasks during Phase 0:

A) Complete a significant portion of the ForumIAS Study Material, including the Toolkit and Red Book set. These materials are provided after the successful payment of the program fee.
B) Finish the major portion of your Optional subject, or at minimum, complete Paper 1. They will also receive initial assignments aimed at building foundational answer-writing skills, ensuring they enter Phase 1 with the necessary academic grounding.

Batch Size
The planned intake for FRC-6 includes approximately 50 students in Group 1 and around 100 students in Group 2 (Other Selected Candidates), totaling around 150 students across both groups.

Hostel Accommodation

Separate hostel facilities are provided for male and female students. Entry and exit points for both hostels are entirely distinct to maintain privacy and security. Security guards are available 24×7 on the gate of male and female students both.

Faculty
The faculty for FRC-6 is the same as that of the ForumIAS Delhi center. The Tapasya Campus is located approximately 2.5 hours from Delhi, and some faculty members commute daily from Delhi or Gurugram to conduct classes.

On-Campus Faculty and Mentors Presence
Tapasya Campus houses both academic and non-academic staff, with dedicated rooms for Faculty, Mentors and other administrative personnel. Each room is equipped with proper ventilation (windows), a table, chair, almirah, bed, and adequate lighting. Photos of the room and campus have been attached for reference.

Phase 1 Structure
Students can expect to dedicate approximately 8 hours daily to academic work in Phase 1. This includes 3–5 hours of classes, around 1 hour of class-based assignments, and mandatory mentorship sessions.

Optional Preparation
Students are advised to complete at least Paper 1 of their Optional subject during Phase 0. At Tapasya Campus, students can allocate time to continue Optional preparation and may also separately enroll in ForumIAS Optional Test Series. Optional available include Anthropology, Sociology, PSIR, Public Administration, Geography, History, and Hindi Literature. Optional mentorship support is available upon request.

Class Timings
While official timings have not been announced, students can tentatively expect classes to be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the first half of the day or from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM in the second half.

Short Outings
Students are allowed to visit nearby markets for essentials. They are required to inform the Tapasya Campus Administrative Team in advance before leaving the premises.

Vehicle Policy
Students are generally discouraged from bringing personal vehicles, as there is no provision for regular parking within the campus. However, during hostel shifting, students may arrive in their own vehicle after informing the Admin Team in advance. In case of medical emergencies or urgent requirements, the institute has its own vehicles for student use.

Phase Transition
Transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2 is contingent upon clearing a Phase-2 Entrance Test. Only those who successfully pass this test will be eligible to continue into Phase 2. As of now, no commitment can be made regarding fresh enrollments in Phase-2 directly.

Study Material
ForumIAS will provide the complete study material set, including the Toolkit and Red Books. Students are permitted to bring additional reference materials or standard books of their own if they wish.

Festive Breaks
Students may go home for festivals or special occasions such as Diwali.
