\nEach question is printed both in Hindi and in English.Answer must be’ written\nin the medium specified in the admission Certificate issued to you, which must\nbe stated clearly on the cover of the answer-book in the space provided for\nthe  purpose. No marks will be  given for the answer written in an\nmedium other than that specified in the admission Certificate.

\nCandidates should attempt Question Nos. 1, and 5 which are compulsory, and any\nthree of the reamining questions selecting at least one question from each\nSection.
\n
\nThe number of marks carried by each question is indicated at the end of the\nquestion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Section – A<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. <\/strong>Answer any three of the following questions\nin not more than 200 words each: 20\u00d73=60<\/strong>

\n2. (a) <\/strong>” Simon’s indentifying decision-making as the core\nfield of public administration appears logically acceptable but his positivist\nunderpinning is problematic.” Critically examine the\nstatement.  40<\/strong>

\n6. (a)<\/strong> Explain the ‘Peter Principle’ in respect of promotion policy\nin a hierachical organisation.    20<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(b) <\/strong>Discuss in this connection the case for and\nagainst promotion based on seniority.  40<\/strong>

\n7. (a)<\/strong> Distinguish fully between the syndicate method, role playing\nmethod, and T-Group training method in personnel management.   40<\/strong>
