\nParts of Speech; Case-system; Prayog-vichar (Voice).
\n(d) Nature and kinds of Folk-lore
\n(with special reference to Marathi)

(History of Literature and Literary Criticism)<\/strong>
\n(a) History of Marathi Literature<\/strong>
\n1. From beginning to 1818 AD, with special reference to the following : The Mahanubhava
\nwriters, the Varkari poets, the Pandit poets, the Shahirs, Bakhar Literature.
\n2. From 1850 to 1990, with special reference to developments in the following major forms :
\nPoetry, Fiction (Novel and Short Story), Drama; and major literary currents and movements,
\nRomantic, Realist, Modernist, Dalit, Gramin, Feminist.
\n(b) Literary Criticism<\/strong>
\n1. Nature and function of Literature;
\n2. Evaluation of Literature;
\n3. Nature, Objectives and Methods of Criticism;
\n4. Literature, Culture, and Society.<\/p>\n

PAPER-II<\/strong><\/h5>\n

(Answer must be written in Marathi)<\/strong>
\nTextual study of prescribed literary works.<\/strong>
\nThe paper will require first-hand reading of the texts prescribed and will be designed to test <\/strong>
