{"id":10017,"date":"2019-09-10T15:41:59","date_gmt":"2019-09-10T10:11:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=10017"},"modified":"2019-09-10T15:41:59","modified_gmt":"2019-09-10T10:11:59","slug":"integrated-battle-groups-on-pakistan-china-borders-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/integrated-battle-groups-on-pakistan-china-borders-soon\/","title":{"rendered":"Integrated Battle Groups on Pakistan, China borders soon"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>Indian Army is planning to raise Integrated Battle Groups (IBGs) along the borders with Pakistan and China that will help it carry out swift strikes in case of war.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Integrated Battle groups:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>IBGs are brigade-sized, agile, self-sufficient combat formations which can swiftly launch strikes against adversary in case of hostilities.<\/li><li>Each IBG would be tailor-made based on Threat, Terrain and Task and resources will be allotted based on the three Ts.<\/li><li>They need to be light so they will be low on logistics and they will be able to mobilise within 12-48 hrs based on the location.<\/li><li>The IBGs will also be defensive and offensive.While the offensive IBGs would quickly mobilise and make thrust into enemy territory for strikes,&nbsp;<\/li><li>On the other hand, the defensive IBGs would hold ground at vulnerable points or where enemy action is expected.The composition of the IBGs would also depend on this.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How is it different from existing formations?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>IBGS ensure better integration and self-sufficiency as compared to the existing formations, allowing it to strike harder and quicker across the border.<\/li><li>A brigade during hostilities has to wait to be augmented by different types of units which increases the time to mobilise.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/KX06dAycDuUHUfUHggCJH0cRGkPVTMRjZJjrmExfMcoeU7RROwvbPaPPazsrw-7Tr12afOZ-54_BoF3NCrpue-atfvQFp02YkR7_Axd8v6flwFL86wnRIOdxiz4lWE4Tf07oYnh3\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News:Indian Army is planning to raise Integrated Battle Groups (IBGs) along the borders with Pakistan and China that will help it carry out swift strikes in case of war.
