It will safeguard the naval ships against enemy missile attack.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>About Advanced Chaff Technology<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Chaff<\/strong> is a passive expendable electronic countermeasure technology. It is used worldwide to protect naval ships from enemy\u2019s radar and Radio Frequency (RF) missile seekers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Significance: <\/strong>Under this technology, a very less quantity of chaff material deployed in the air acts as a decoy. It will deflect the enemy\u2019s missiles for safety of the ships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>About the Advanced Chaff Technology Developed by DRDO:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Defence Laboratory Jodhpur(DLJ),<\/strong> a DRDO laboratory has indigenously developed three variants of this chaff technology namely:\n<ul>\n<li>Short Range Chaff Rocket(SRCR)<\/li>\n<li>Medium Range Chaff Rocket (MRCR) and<\/li>\n<li>Long Range Chaff Rocket(LRCR).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Indian Navy<\/strong> has already conducted the trials of all three variants in the Arabian Sea on Indian Naval Ship and found the performance satisfactory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Source: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pib.gov.in\/PressReleseDetailm.aspx?PRID=1709617\"><strong>PIB<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/st-news\/defence-technology-news-and-updates\/<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is the News?
