{"id":100193,"date":"2021-04-06T16:35:58","date_gmt":"2021-04-06T11:05:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=100193"},"modified":"2021-04-06T19:19:43","modified_gmt":"2021-04-06T13:49:43","slug":"e9-initiative-to-accelerate-digital-learning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/e9-initiative-to-accelerate-digital-learning\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;E9 Initiative&#8221; to Accelerate Digital Learning"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>What is the News?\u00a0<\/strong>The Minister of State for Education will attend a consultation meeting of Education Ministers of E9 countries called the E9 Initiative.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>About the E9 Initiative:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Theme of the Meeting: \u201c<\/strong>E9 initiative: Scaling up digital learning to accelerate progress towards Sustainable Development Goal 4\u201d<\/li>\n<li>This consultation meeting will be t<strong>he 1st of the 3 phase process to co-create<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>a<\/strong> <strong>Digital Learning initiative. <\/strong>Marginalized children and youth, especially girls, would be the target population.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The initiative will aim<\/strong> to accelerate recovery and advance the Sustainable Development Goal 4 agenda by driving rapid change in education systems.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The initiative will also focus<\/strong> on three of the 2020 Global Education Meeting priorities namely: (i) support to teachers; (ii) investment in skills and (iii) narrowing of the digital divide.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>About E9 Partnership:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Launched in<\/strong>: 1993 at the UNESCO&#8217;s Education For All (EFA) Summit in New Delhi.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Member Countries: <\/strong>The United Nations is spearheading the initiative with nine countries namely Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria, and Pakistan.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Purpose: <\/strong>The E9 forum aims to achieve the goals of <a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/u-s-israel-quit-unesco\/\">UNESCO&#8217;s <\/a>Education For All(EFA) initiative.
