It will be useful for soldiers in extreme high-altitude areas.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>About DRDO&#8217;s Supplemental Oxygen Delivery System:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Purpose: <\/strong>The system delivers supplemental oxygen based on the SpO2 (Blood Oxygen Saturation) levels. Thus, it prevents the person from going into a state of Hypoxia.\n<ul>\n<li>Hypoxia is a state in which the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">amount of oxygen reaching the tissues is inadequate<\/span> to fulfil all the energy requirements of the body.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Developed by: <\/strong>\u00a0Defence Bio-Engineering &amp; ElectroMedical Laboratory (DEBEL), Bengaluru of <a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/drdo-develops-advanced-chaff-technology-to-safeguard-naval-ships\/\">DRDO<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Significance<\/strong>: This system will also be helpful in the current Covid-19 pandemic. It is useful for household care for moderate Covid patients for Oxygen flow therapy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Key Features of the System:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>The system has been <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">indigenously<\/span> developed. It has dual qualities of being robust &amp; cheap.<\/li>\n<li>Further, this system <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">reads the blood oxygen saturation levels<\/span> of the subject from a wrist-worn pulse oximeter.
