{"id":105506,"date":"2021-05-08T23:50:42","date_gmt":"2021-05-08T18:20:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=105506"},"modified":"2021-05-08T23:52:07","modified_gmt":"2021-05-08T18:22:07","slug":"cabinet-approves-mou-between-india-and-uk-on-global-innovation-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/cabinet-approves-mou-between-india-and-uk-on-global-innovation-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"Cabinet approves MoU between India and UK on &#8220;Global Innovation Partnership&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>What is the News?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Union Cabinet has given an ex-post facto approval for an agreement signed between India with the United Kingdom on <a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/cabinet-approves-mou-between-india-and-uk-on-global-innovation-partnership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Global Innovation Partnership<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>About Global Innovation Partnership:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Firstly, Global Innovation Partnership <\/strong>has been launched by the Government of India and the UK.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Secondly, <\/strong>the <strong>purpose of the GIP <\/strong>is to\u00a0support Indian innovators to scale up their innovations in third countries. Thereby helping innovators to explore new markets and become self-sustainable.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Thirdly, under GIP, <\/strong>Indian entrepreneurs and innovators will receive seed funding, grants, investments and technical assistance. They will test, scale up and take innovative development solutions to select developing countries.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fourthly, the innovations will focus<\/strong> on Sustainable Development Goals(SDG) related sectors thereby assisting recipient countries to achieve their SDGs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fifthly, GIP <\/strong>will also develop an <strong>open and inclusive e-marketplace called E-Baazar.\u00a0<\/strong>This will be used for cross border innovation transfer.
