{"id":10734,"date":"2019-10-06T16:36:27","date_gmt":"2019-10-06T11:06:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=10734"},"modified":"2019-10-06T16:36:27","modified_gmt":"2019-10-06T11:06:27","slug":"national-testing-agency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/national-testing-agency\/","title":{"rendered":"National Testing Agency"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>National Testing Agency has sought permission from the Central Government to use Aadhaar data for the 2020 NEET exam.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About National Testing Agency:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>National Testing Agency (NTA) was established as a Society registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act, 1860.<\/li><li>It is an autonomous and self-sustained testing organization to conduct entrance examinations for admission\/fellowship in higher educational institutions.<\/li><li>It aims to conduct efficient, transparent and international standards tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admission and recruitment purposes.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Composition:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>NTA is chaired by an eminent educationist appointed by the Ministry of HRD.<\/li><li>The CEO will be the Director General to be appointed by the Government.<\/li><li>There will be a Board of Governors comprising members from user institutions.<\/li><li>The Director General will be assisted by 9 verticals headed by academicians\/ experts.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Significance of NTA:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Establishment of a specialized testing body like NTA has relieved the agencies such as CBSE, AICTE of their responsibilities of conducting Entrance examinations.<\/li><li>NTA has also launched a \u2018mobile app\u2019 and Test Practice Centres(TPC\u2019s) through which students can practice or take mock tests on their own computers or smartphones.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News:National Testing Agency has sought permission from the Central Government to use Aadhaar data for the 2020 NEET exam.
