{"id":10762,"date":"2019-10-08T17:53:41","date_gmt":"2019-10-08T12:23:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=10762"},"modified":"2019-10-08T17:53:41","modified_gmt":"2019-10-08T12:23:41","slug":"indian-technical-and-economic-cooperation-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/indian-technical-and-economic-cooperation-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation programme"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>The Development Partnership Administration Division of the External Affairs Ministry is celebrating the 55th Anniversary of India&#8217;s flagship capacity building programme &#8211; Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation(ITEC).<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About ITEC programme:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation(ITEC) Programme was instituted in 1964 as a bilateral programme of assistance of the Government of India.<\/li><li>The Division of Development Partnership Administration (DPA) in the Ministry of External Affairs is the nodal division for handling all capacity building programmes.<\/li><li>The ITEC Programme is fully funded by the Government of India.<\/li><li>The Programme is essentially bilateral in nature.However, in recent years, ITEC resources have also been used for cooperation programmes conceived in regional and inter-regional context.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Components of ITEC:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Training (civilian and defence) in India of nominees from ITEC partner countries;<\/li><li>Projects and project related activities such as feasibility studies and consultancy services;<\/li><li>Deputation of Indian experts abroad;<\/li><li>Study Tours;<\/li><li>Gifts\/Donations of equipment at the request of ITEC partner countries; and<\/li><li>Aid for Disaster Relief.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News:The Development Partnership Administration Division of the External Affairs Ministry is celebrating the 55th Anniversary of India&#8217;s flagship capacity building programme &#8211; Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation(ITEC).
