A group of molds called mucormycetes is the reason behind it, which is abundant in the environment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Secondly, Transmission: <\/strong>It occurs through inhalation, inoculation, or ingestion of fungal spores from the environment. However, it does not spread between people or between people and animals.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Thirdly, Symptoms: <\/strong>Mucormycosis can affect different parts of the body, with different sets of symptoms. Some common symptoms are face numbness, nose obstructions on one side, swelling in the eyes, or pain.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fourthly, Vulnerable People: <\/strong>It mainly affects people who have health problems or take medicines that lower the body\u2019s ability to fight germs and sickness.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fifthly, Treatment: <\/strong>The infection is often treated with antifungal medicine, usually amphotericin B. However, the patients may eventually require surgery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>What is Epidemic, Pandemic, and Endemic?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Epidemic <\/strong>is a disease that affects a large number of people within a community, population, or region.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pandemic <\/strong>is an epidemic that\u2019s spread over multiple countries or continents.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Endemic <\/strong>is something that belongs to a particular people or country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What is Notifiable Disease?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Notifiable Disease <\/strong>is any disease that the law requires to report to government authorities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>This will allow authorities<\/strong> to gather information to monitor the disease, and provides early warning of possible outbreaks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The process will also help<\/strong> the government to keep track and formulate a plan for elimination and control.
