{"id":11062,"date":"2019-10-19T15:53:26","date_gmt":"2019-10-19T10:23:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=11062"},"modified":"2019-10-19T15:53:26","modified_gmt":"2019-10-19T10:23:26","slug":"exercise-danx-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/exercise-danx-19\/","title":{"rendered":"Exercise DANX-19"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>Andaman and Nicobar Command(ANC) has conducted the second edition of Defence of Andaman &amp; Nicobar Islands 2019(DANX-19).<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Exercise DANX:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The DANX is a joint services exercise conducted by the ANC (Andaman and Nicobar Command).The exercise was conducted for the first time in 2017.<\/li><li>The main objective of the exercise is to practice and validate procedures and drills of all Command forces aimed at defending strategic Andaman &amp; Nicobar Islands.<\/li><li>Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and special forces from newly formed Armed Forces Special Operations Division (AFSOD) participated in this exercise.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional information:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Andaman and Nicobar Command(ANC):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Andaman and Nicobar Command was created in 2001.&nbsp;<\/li><li>It is the first and only tri-service command of the Indian Armed Forces based at Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.&nbsp;<\/li><li>It was created to safeguard India\u2019s interests in the Strait of Malacca and in Southeast Asia.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The ANC provides logistics and administrative support to Indian ships that are deployed in East Asia and Pacific Ocean.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Armed forces Special Operations Division(AFSOD):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Armed Forces Special Operations Division(AFSOD) is a tri-services division which is tasked to carry out Special operations.\u00a0<\/li><li>The division will have commandos from all three services of the Indian Armed Forces and it will function under the Integrated Defence Staff.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/QgjFCPtgF_qDtzGLOQL90mJc9aOg2Z_PbOylqCSC4cxbhETDzRKRAlkX3lBZcW55I9N4Vwu-G5QZjBr7LQAzOaupRH76MuPvUdaU_6IATAiJHejqK4UmrpIuK_UUK7Qvypp9s0Ev\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News:Andaman and Nicobar Command(ANC) has conducted the second edition of Defence of Andaman &amp; Nicobar Islands 2019(DANX-19).
