{"id":111409,"date":"2021-06-09T17:59:20","date_gmt":"2021-06-09T12:29:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=111409"},"modified":"2021-06-09T17:59:20","modified_gmt":"2021-06-09T12:29:20","slug":"qs-world-university-rankings-2022-released-only-three-institutes-from-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/qs-world-university-rankings-2022-released-only-three-institutes-from-india\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;QS World University Rankings 2022&#8221; released: Only three institutes from India"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>What is the news?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>The<a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/ranking-of-indian-universities-in-qs-world-university-rankings-2021\/\"> QS World University Rankings<\/a> 2022 have been released.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About QS World University Rankings:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>QS World University Rankings <\/strong>is released by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Purpose<\/strong>: It is an annual publication of university rankings which comprises the global overall and subject rankings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Parameters: <\/strong>The universities are evaluated based on the following six metrics:\n<ul>\n<li>Academic Reputation (40%)<\/li>\n<li>Employer Reputation (10%)<\/li>\n<li>Faculty\/Student Ratio (20%)<\/li>\n<li>Citations per faculty (20%)<\/li>\n<li>International Faculty Ratio (5%)<\/li>\n<li>International Student Ratio (5%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Key Findings of QS World University Rankings 2022 related to India:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Only three educational institutes from India, <\/strong>the IIT Bombay (177), IIT Delhi (185) and IISc Bengaluru (186) feature in the top 200 list.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Except for these three institutes<\/strong>, no other Indian institution has been able to break into the top 200 since 2017.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>IIT-Bombay<\/strong> continues to be <strong>India\u2019s best higher education institution<\/strong> for the fourth consecutive year. Holding 177th position, although it fell five places over the last year<\/li>\n<li><strong>There are a total number of 22 Indian higher education<\/strong> institutions placed among the world\u2019s top 1,000 universities.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>In the 2021<\/strong> index, there were 21 Indian institutions.
