This appeal came on World Day Against Child Labour.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>About PENCIL Portal:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>PENCIL Portal <\/strong>stands for Platform for <strong>Effective Enforcement for No Child Labour<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Purpose: <\/strong>It is an electronic platform that aims at achieving the target of a child labour free society. For this aim, it coordinates actions of the Centre, State, District, Governments, civil society, and the public.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nodal Ministry: <\/strong>The portal is administered by the Ministry of Labour &amp; Employment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Components: <\/strong>PENCIL Portal has five components- Child Tracking System, Complaint Corner, State Government, National Child Labour Project, and Convergence.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Significance: <\/strong>The portal has been launched for the effective implementation of the Child Labour Act and the National Child Labour Project (NCLP) Scheme.\n<ul>\n<li>NCLP aims to eliminate all forms of child labour and rehabilitate them through education in Special Training Centres.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse; width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\">Read more: <a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/child-labour-global-estimates-2020-report-released-by-ilo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cChild Labour: Global estimates 2020\u201d report released by ILO<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>About CHILDLINE 1098:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CHILDLINE 1098 <\/strong>is a free, emergency phone service for <a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/child-abuse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">children in need<\/a> of aid and assistance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The helpline responds<\/strong> to the emergency needs of children.
