It also aims to promote their ability as an integrated force to promote peace, security and stability in the maritime domain.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Participants: <\/strong>Along with the Indian Navy, the other countries participating in the exercise are: Italy, Spain and France.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The exercise includes<\/strong> advanced air defence and anti-submarine exercises, tactical manoeuvres, Search &amp; Rescue, and other maritime security operations.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>From the Indian side,<\/strong> Stealth frigate INS Trikand is participating in the exercise.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>India-EUNAVFOR Cooperation:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>EUNAVFOR and the Indian Navy <\/strong>converge on multiple issues. Such as counter-piracy operations and protection of vessels deployed under the charter of the World Food Programme(UN WFP).<\/li>\n<li><strong>The two navies also have regular interaction <\/strong>through SHADE (Shared Awareness and Deconfliction) meetings held annually in Bahrain.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>SHADE <\/strong>is an international operational counter-piracy platform, convened in Bahrain.<\/li>\n<li><strong>It aims <\/strong>to encourage partners for sharing information, assessing the evolution of trends. SHADE also de-conflict operations amongst counter-piracy actors in the Gulf of Aden, the Gulf of Oman and the Western Indian Ocean.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Moreover, <\/strong>a virtual Information\u00a0sharing Exercise is also being conducted between the Indian Navy Information Fusion Centre \u2013 Indian Ocean Region and Maritime Security Centre-Horn of Africa, an integral part of EUNAVFOR.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Source: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1728276\"><strong>PIB<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is the News?
