grappling with degradation<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, an important contributor to GHG emissions.\u00a0More than 40 per cent of the forest cover is open, often data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0India has committed to restore 26 million hectares of degraded forests and lands by 2030 under the <strong>Bonn pledge<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><span
