{"id":115659,"date":"2021-06-30T19:26:03","date_gmt":"2021-06-30T13:56:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=115659"},"modified":"2021-07-01T12:04:46","modified_gmt":"2021-07-01T06:34:46","slug":"india-launches-asias-longest-high-speed-track-for-automobiles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/india-launches-asias-longest-high-speed-track-for-automobiles\/","title":{"rendered":"India launches Asia\u2019s longest High Speed Track for automobiles"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Source: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1731122\"><strong>PIB<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h5><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>What is the News?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>The Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises has inaugurated NATRAX- the High Speed Track(HST) in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>What is High Speed Track(HST)?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>A High-Speed Track (HST) is used for measuring the maximum speed capability of high-end cars like BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Tesla.<\/li>\n<li>At present, foreign OEMs go to their respective high-speed track abroad for high-speed test requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>About NATRAX-the High-Speed Track(HST):<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The National Automotive Test Tracks(NATRAX) <\/strong>is an 11.3 kms long High-Speed Track (HST) facility.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Purpose: <\/strong>The facility is a one-stop solution for all sorts of high-speed performance tests for the widest categories of vehicles, from 2 wheelers to heavy tractor-trailers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Features:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The track <\/strong>has been designed for neutral speeds up to 250 kmph and a maximum speed of up to 375 kmph on curves. There is no limit to maximum speed on the straight patch.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The zero-percent <\/strong>longitudinal slope makes this track an open-air test laboratory for precise measurement of the performance of vehicles.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Moreover<\/strong>, the track is open to having vehicles from overseas being evaluated here as part of the testing process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Significance: <\/strong>The track is the longest in Asia and fifth-largest in the world.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: PIB \u00a0What is the News?
