Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and Sulphur Dioxide (SO2) were both associated with a 2.3% and 1.3% increase in mortality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>About Black Carbon (BC):<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Black carbon(BC) <\/strong>is a short-lived climate pollutant. It is the second-largest contributor to warming the planet after carbon dioxide(CO2).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Black carbon is formed<\/strong> through the incomplete combustion of fossil fuels, biofuel, and biomass.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Primary sources include <\/strong>emissions from diesel engines, cookstoves, wood burning and forest fires.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Black carbon can have significant <\/strong>direct and indirect impacts on the climate, as it influences cloud formation and atmospheric heat absorption processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Other types of Carbon:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Blue Carbon<\/strong>: It refers to coastal, aquatic and marine carbon sinks held by vegetation, marine organisms, and sediments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Green Carbon:<\/strong> It is the carbon that is stored in terrestrial ecosystems such as forests, pastures, and soils.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Brown Carbon<\/strong>: It is a light-absorbing particle in the Earth\u2019s atmosphere that has the unique characteristics of both cooling the planet\u2019s surface and warming its atmosphere.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: PIB What is the News?
