The rules insist on \u201cfuture good conduct\u201d as a \u201ccondition of every grant of pension and its continuance.\u201d But, the government cannot withhold the pension as the rule itself mention pension as a &#8220;claimed as a right\u201d.\n<ul>\n<li>The Courts also historically ruled in favour of the pensioner. For instance, In <strong>Dr Hira Lal v. State of Bihar case<\/strong>, the court mentioned \u201cthat the right to pension cannot be taken away by a mere executive fiat or administrative instruction. An employee earns these benefits by virtue of his long, continuous, faithful and unblemished service\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Not a national security threat, instead, an act of <a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/what-is-sedition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sedition<\/a><\/strong>: The government has to act maturely and distinguish between genuine protests and sedition. If a question arises, then it has to be decided by the courts. These orders were meant for colonial times or even for the late 20th century. For example, One need not reveal information, with current advancements in technology, the enemy\u2019s satellite can see not only moving trucks but also their number plates as well.<\/li>\n<li>The government <strong>cannot force a code of conduct for such large numbers of retired officials <\/strong>to speak out against its policies. Such as secretaries, ambassadors, the Directors-General of police and others.
