He has also announced that\nthe government will introduce another scheme called \u2018Amma Vodi\u2019 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Nadu-Nedu\nProgramme:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Aim:<\/strong>\nTransform government schools into vibrant and competitive institutions.<\/li><li><strong>Objectives:<\/strong><ul><li>Introduce English medium from classes 1 to 6 in\nstate-run schools from next academic year<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Transform all government schools with the\nrequired infrastructure and up-gradation of skills<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Provide basic amenities like clean environs,\nfurniture, toilets, running water, compound wall, blackboard, renovation and\ninvolve parent committee.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>In the first phase, the Nadu-Nedu programme will\nbe implemented in 15,715 schools. It will cover all schools in three years\nunder a budget of Rs 12,000 cores.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional\nInformation: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Amma Vodi:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The scheme will be launched in January 2020.
