If they lose the card, then they might not be able to retrieve their Aadhaar number.\n<ul>\n<li>The UIDAI website gave clear instructions on how to retrieve a lost Aadhaar number, but only for those who have a registered mobile or email address in the Aadhaar database.<\/li>\n<li>The Right to Information Act information also reveal that &#8220;If mobile number and e-mail id are not registered with his\/her Aadhaar, Resident can visit any Permanent Enrolment Centres for updation (mobile number and e-mail id)&#8221;. But the RTI information does not mention what if a person forget mobile number and email address also.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Private agencies<\/strong> that deal with Aadhaar enrolment and updation at the local level are run by unaccountable data operators. Their misdeeds include\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Overcharging for services, <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Irresponsible handling of important documents, misplacing them, <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Turning away poor people<\/strong> who bring difficult queries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Indian Express Relevance: Aadhaar number will help the residents to avail various services provided by banking, mobile phone connections and other Govt and Non-Govt services.
