{"id":117731,"date":"2021-07-10T20:10:13","date_gmt":"2021-07-10T14:40:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=117731"},"modified":"2021-07-12T19:21:27","modified_gmt":"2021-07-12T13:51:27","slug":"india-uk-hold-financial-market-dialogue-via-virtual-mode","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/india-uk-hold-financial-market-dialogue-via-virtual-mode\/","title":{"rendered":"India-UK hold Financial Market dialogue via virtual mode"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Source: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1734071\"><strong>PIB<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the News?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>India and the United Kingdom(UK) held the inaugural meeting of the India-UK Financial Markets Dialogue virtually.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About India-UK Financial Markets Dialogue:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>India-UK Financial Markets Dialogue <\/strong>was established at the 10th Economic and Financial Dialogue (EFD) in October 2020 to deepen bilateral ties in the financial sector.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The dialogue was led by<\/strong> Finance Ministry officials from India and treasury officials from the UK.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Focus of the dialogue: <\/strong>The primary focus of the dialogue was on four topics:\n<ul>\n<li>India\u2019s flagship international financial centre: Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City);<\/li>\n<li>banking and payments;<\/li>\n<li>insurance and<\/li>\n<li>capital markets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About International Financial Service Centre(IFSC):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>An IFSC caters <\/strong>to customers outside the jurisdiction of the domestic economy. Such centres deal with flows of finance, financial products and services across borders.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Special Economic Zone(SEZ) Act, 2005<\/strong> allows setting up an IFSC in an SEZ or as an SEZ after approval from the central government.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The first IFSC in India<\/strong> has been set up at the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in Gandhinagar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: PIB What is the News?
