It is a one-stop repository of all industrial infrastructure-related information such as infrastructure connectivity, natural resources, terrain, plot-level information on vacant plots, line of activity, and contact details.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Currently, the land bank system<\/strong> has about 4,000 industrial parks mapped across an area of 5.5 lakh hectares of land, serving as a decision support system for investors scouting for land remotely.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>What is the Geographic Information System(GIS)?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>GIS <\/strong>is a computer system for capturing, storing, checking, and displaying data related to positions on Earth\u2019s surface.<\/li>\n<li><strong>GIS <\/strong>can show many kinds of data on one map such as streets, buildings, and vegetation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>This enables <\/strong>people to more easily see, analyze and understand patterns and relationships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: PIB \u00a0What is the News?
