The mission is being implemented by the Ministry of AYUSH.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Objectives of the Mission:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>To provide <\/strong>cost-effective AYUSH Services with universal access through upgrading AYUSH Hospitals and by co-location of AYUSH facilities at Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and District Hospitals(DHs).<\/li>\n<li><strong>To establish <\/strong>a holistic wellness model based on AYUSH principles and practices, for empowering masses for \u2018self-care.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Furthermore, to strengthen <\/strong>institutional capacity at the state level through upgrading AYUSH educational institutions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Support cultivation <\/strong>of medicinal plants by adopting Good Agricultural Practices(GAPs) to provide a sustained supply of quality raw materials.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Support setting up <\/strong>of clusters through the convergence of cultivation, warehousing, value addition, and marketing and development of infrastructure for entrepreneurs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Expected Outcomes of the Mission:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Better access <\/strong>to AYUSH healthcare services through increased healthcare facilities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Improvement in AYUSH education <\/strong>through a well-equipped, enhanced number of AYUSH Educational institutions,<\/li>\n<li><strong>To focus on reducing <\/strong>communicable\/non-communicable diseases through targeted public health programs using AYUSH systems of Healthcare.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: PIB What is the News?
