It will give them an opportunity and a platform to perform, especially during the challenging time of COVID-19.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About ICCR:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Indian Council for Cultural Relations(ICCR) <\/strong>is an autonomous body under the administrative control of the Ministry of External Affairs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Founded in: <\/strong>It was founded in 1950 by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad who was the first Education Minister of independent India.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objectives: <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>To actively <\/strong>participate in the formulation and implementation of policies and programmes pertaining to India\u2019s external cultural relations<\/li>\n<li><strong>To foster<\/strong> and strengthen cultural relations and mutual understanding between India and other countries<\/li>\n<li><strong>To promote<\/strong> cultural exchanges with other countries and people, and to develop relations with nations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: Deccan Herald What is the News?
