{"id":120730,"date":"2021-07-23T19:22:17","date_gmt":"2021-07-23T13:52:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=120730"},"modified":"2021-07-24T11:02:18","modified_gmt":"2021-07-24T05:32:18","slug":"indian-navy-exercise-with-uks-royal-navy-carrier-strike-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/indian-navy-exercise-with-uks-royal-navy-carrier-strike-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Indian Navy exercise with UK\u2019s Royal Navy carrier strike group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Source: <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1737833\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h5><strong>What is the News?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>The Indian Navy took part in a bilateral Passage Exercise(PASSEX) with the UK Royal Navy Carrier Strike Group(CSG)-21 in the Bay of Bengal.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Passage Exercise(PASSEX):<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Passage Exercise <\/strong>will take place between the two navies to ensure that the navies are able to communicate and cooperate in times of war or humanitarian relief.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Indian Navy <\/strong>had conducted similar passing exercises with the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force, French Navy, and US Navy among others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>India-UK PASSEX Exercise:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>This is the maiden<\/strong> PASSEX exercise between the Indian Navy and the UK Royal Navy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The exercise was designed<\/strong> to hone the two navies&#8217; ability to operate together in the maritime domain.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Other Exercises between India and UK:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Exercise Indradhanush: <\/strong>It is a joint bilateral air exercise between India and the UK started in 2006.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exercise Konkan: <\/strong>It is an annual maritime bilateral exercise between the Indian Navy and the Royal Navy of Britain.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exercise Ajeya Warrior: <\/strong>It is a joint military exercise between India and the UK.
