{"id":121534,"date":"2021-07-27T18:42:48","date_gmt":"2021-07-27T13:12:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=121534"},"modified":"2021-07-27T18:42:48","modified_gmt":"2021-07-27T13:12:48","slug":"government-launched-nishtha-for-continuous-professional-development-of-the-teachers-during-covid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/government-launched-nishtha-for-continuous-professional-development-of-the-teachers-during-covid\/","title":{"rendered":"Government launched NISHTHA for continuous professional development of the teachers during Covid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Source: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1739155\"><strong>PIB<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h5><strong>What is the News?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>The Union Minister of Education has informed the Lok Sabha about the NISHTHA Programme.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>About NISHTHA Programme:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>NISHTHA <\/strong>stands for National Initiative for School Heads and Teachers Holistic Advancement.<\/li>\n<li><strong>It is a capacity building programme<\/strong> for Improving Quality of School Education through Integrated Teacher Training.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim<\/strong>: It aims to build competencies among all the teachers and school principals at the elementary stage.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The functionaries<\/strong> (at the state, district, block, cluster level) shall be trained in an integrated manner on learning outcomes, school based assessment, learner \u2013 centred pedagogy, new initiatives in education, among others.<\/li>\n<li><strong>This training is being organized<\/strong> by constituting National Resource Groups (NRGs) and State Resource Groups (SRGs) at the National and the State level who will be training 42 lakhs teachers subsequently.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Moreover<\/strong>, a portal\/Management Information System (MIS) for delivery of the training, monitoring and support mechanism has been infused with this capacity building initiative.<\/li>\n<li><strong>However<\/strong>, due to COVID-19 and to provide continuous development opportunities to the teachers at the elementary level, this Department has launched NISHTHA online using DIKSHA platform in October 2020.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>About DIKSHA:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>DIKSHA<\/strong> (Digital Infrastructure for School Education) is an initiative of the National Council of Educational Research and Training(NCERT), Ministry of Education.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Purpose<\/strong>: The platform offers engaging learning material, relevant to the prescribed school curriculum, to teachers, students and parents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: PIB What is the News?
