This move will help improve connectivity between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>About Kuthiran Tunnel:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Kuthiran Tunnel <\/strong>is the first road tunnel in Kerala. It is located at Kuthiran in the Thrissur district of Kerala.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The tunnel is 1.6 km long<\/strong> and runs through the Peechi-Vazhani wildlife sanctuary. It is a twin-tube tunnel with three lanes in each tube.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The objective of this road tunnel<\/strong> is to improve connectivity between important ports and towns while protecting wildlife.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The tunnel is also a part<\/strong> of the Mannuthy-Wadakkanchery stretch of the National Highway in Kerala.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>About Peechi-Vazhani Wildlife Sanctuary:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Peechi-Vazhani <\/strong>Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary headquartered in Peechi, Thrissur District of Kerala. It is the second-oldest sanctuary in Kerala.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The sanctuary <\/strong>was established in 1958.
