However, the U.S. is not supporting an expansion of the veto \u2013 given to the P-5, the current five permanent members: China, France, Russia, the U.K and the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>In the past also, US has refrained from supporting India&#8217;s bid, citing regional disagreements on who should get the seat.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Regional disagreements<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Regional disagreements here is most probably a reference to the <strong>UFC group &#8211;\u00a0Pakistan, South Korea, Italy and Argentina<\/strong> \u2013 which opposes the G4 plan.
