They will also study epidemiology and mathematical modelling of the Covid-19.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>What is Genome Sequencing?<\/b><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/answered-what-is-genome-sequencing-discuss-the-significance-of-genome-sequencing-in-recent-context-of-coronavirus-epidemic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Genome sequencing<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a process of determining the complete DNA sequence of an organism\u2019s genome.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><b>Why do we need Genome Sequencing and other studies?<\/b><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>A whole-genomic sequencing<\/strong> is required for the identification of genetic mutations and recombinations of the virus.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>On the other hand,<\/strong> epidemiological studies are needed to help assess the distribution of the virus. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Further<\/strong>, Mathematical modelling is required to assess the virus future spread.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><b>About BRICS Genome Sequencing on Covid-19:<\/b><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Under the research<\/strong>, the Indian and Brazilian sides will assess the distribution of SARS-CoV-2 in the environmental samples.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The Chinese and Russian scientists<\/strong> will carry out the Real-Time PCR detection of SARS-CoV-2 in biological material (nasopharyngeal swabs) from patients with symptoms of respiratory diseases and investigate the genomic variability.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Then the\u00a0data <\/strong>from<strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0all countries will be integrated<\/span><\/strong> to develop mathematical models to reveal the spread and dynamics of the virus.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Hence, this research will help trace genetic mutations<\/strong>, recombinations as well as distribution of the virus. <\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The research will also make predictions about the future of its spread.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: PIB What is the News?
