{"id":124578,"date":"2021-08-09T17:44:58","date_gmt":"2021-08-09T12:14:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=124578"},"modified":"2021-08-10T10:15:23","modified_gmt":"2021-08-10T04:45:23","slug":"union-minister-launches-pm-daksh-portal-and-pm-daksh-mobile-app","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/union-minister-launches-pm-daksh-portal-and-pm-daksh-mobile-app\/","title":{"rendered":"Union Minister launches \u2018PM-DAKSH\u2019 Portal and \u2018PM-DAKSH\u2019 Mobile App"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Source: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1743094\"><b>PIB<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<h5><b>What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment has launched \u2018PM-DAKSH\u2019 Portal and \u2018PM-DAKSH\u2019 Mobile App.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>About PM-DAKSH Portal<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>PM-DAKSH<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> stands for <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pradhan Mantri Dakshta Aur Kushalta Sampann Hitgrahi Yojana.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Nodal Ministry: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> launched by the Ministry of Social Justice &amp; Empowerment (MoSJ&amp;E) in 2020-21.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Purpose<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: It is a National Action Plan for skilling marginalized persons covering SCs, OBCs, EBCs, DNTs, Sanitation workers including waste pickers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Developed by<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: The Portal has been developed by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, in collaboration with <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National e-Governance Division(NeGD)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Features<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under this Programme, eligible target groups are being provided with skill development training programmes on <\/span>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Up-skilling\/Reskilling <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Short Term Training programme <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Long Term Training Programme <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Implementation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: The <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">training programs are being implemented through Government Training Institutes, Sector Skill Councils constituted by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and other credible institutions<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><b>Note:<\/b><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">three Apex Corporations are functioning. They are,<\/span>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation, <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation and <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>These Corporations are providing loans <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">at concessional interest rates to the target groups of backward classes, scheduled castes and Safai Karamcharis for self-employment.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Besides,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> they are also providing free training for skill development of the target groups.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: PIB What is the News?
