{"id":124933,"date":"2021-08-10T18:04:16","date_gmt":"2021-08-10T12:34:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=124933"},"modified":"2021-08-11T12:07:19","modified_gmt":"2021-08-11T06:37:19","slug":"indian-naval-ships-shivalik-and-kadmatt-at-brunei-to-enhance-bilateral-ties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/indian-naval-ships-shivalik-and-kadmatt-at-brunei-to-enhance-bilateral-ties\/","title":{"rendered":"Indian Naval Ships Shivalik and Kadmatt at Brunei to enhance Bilateral Ties"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Source: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1743981\"><b>PIB<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<h5><b>What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of Act East Policy, Indian Naval Ships Shivalik and Kadmatt have arrived at Brunei as part of their deployment to South East Asia.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>What will the Ships do in Brunei?<\/b><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>During the stay,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the ships will participate in various bilateral interactions with the Royal Brunei Navy.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>The exercise will provide <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">an opportunity to both the navies to enhance interoperability, gain from best practices and develop a common understanding of procedures for maritime security operations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>The bilateral exercise<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will conclude with a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/indian-navy-exercise-with-uks-royal-navy-carrier-strike-group\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passage Exercise <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with the Royal Brunei Navy.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><b>Exercise Malabar-21:<\/b><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>The ships will also participate<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/7-pm-editorial-is-it-the-right-time-to-include-australia-in-malabar-naval-exercise20th-july-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exercise <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MALABAR-21<\/span><\/i> <\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with the Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF), Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and the United States Navy (USN).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><b>Indian Naval Ships Shivalik and Kadmatt:<\/b><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Indian Navy Ships Shivalik and Kadmatt<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are the latest indigenously designed and built, multi-role Guided Missile Stealth Frigate and Anti-Submarine Corvette respectively.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>They form part of the Indian Navy&#8217;s <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eastern Fleet based at Visakhapatnam under the Eastern Naval Command.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>The two ships are equipped <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with a versatile array of weapons and sensors, can carry multi-role helicopters, and represent the maturation of India&#8217;s warship-building capabilities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: PIB What is the News?
