{"id":124969,"date":"2021-08-10T18:28:48","date_gmt":"2021-08-10T12:58:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=124969"},"modified":"2021-08-10T18:30:05","modified_gmt":"2021-08-10T13:00:05","slug":"seekho-aur-kamao-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/seekho-aur-kamao-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Seekho Aur Kamao\u2019 Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Source: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1744062\"><b>PIB<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>What is the News?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Union Minister for Minority Affairs has informed Rajya Sabha about the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seekho aur Kamao Scheme<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>About Seekho aur Kamao Scheme:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Seekho aur Kamao (Learn &amp; Earn) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is a scheme implemented by the Ministry of Minority Affairs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Purpose<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: It is a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Skill development scheme for the youth of the 14 &#8211; 35 years age group. It aims at providing employment and employment opportunities, improving the employability of existing workers, school dropouts etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Implementation:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The scheme is implemented through selected expert Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>The scheme ensures <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">placements of a minimum of 75% trainees, out of which at least 50% placement is in the organized sector.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Moreover<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Post-placement support of Rs. 2000\/- per month is provided to placed trainees under the scheme for two months as placement assistance.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Other Schemes of Ministry of Minority Affairs:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Naya Savera<\/b> <b>Scheme-<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0The Scheme aims to provide free coaching to students\/candidates belonging to minority communities for qualifying in entrance examinations of technical\/ medical professional courses and various competitive examinations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Padho Pardesh Scheme <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Scheme of interest subsidy to students of minority communities on educational loans for overseas higher studies.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Nai Udaan Scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Support for students clearing Prelims conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), State Public Service Commission (PSC) Staff Selection Commission (SSC) etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Nai Roshni<\/b> <b>Scheme-<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Leadership development of women belonging to minority communities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Being implemented to provide basic infrastructure such as Schools, Colleges, Drinking water and Sanitation facilities, Primary Health Centres in deprived areas of the Country.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/usttad-scheme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">USTTAD (Upgrading the Skills and Training in Traditional Arts\/Crafts for Development)<\/a><\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Nai Manzil Scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; A scheme for formal school education &amp; skilling of school dropouts.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Hamari Dharohar-<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A scheme to preserve the rich heritage of minority communities of India under the overall concept of Indian culture.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: PIB What is the News?
